Designer Elizabeth Chittenden, a Nashville, Tennessee resident, has had a passion for collecting jewelry for as long as she can recall. As a child of the 60’s and 70’s, Elizabeth was influenced by some of the most iconic women of our time and attributes her classic taste to Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly and Coco Chanel to name a few. Chittenden also finds inspiration from the era of Marie Antoinette and the remarkable creations of 20th century jewelry designer, Miriam Haskell.
Elizabeth’s goal is to combine all of her passions and create unique pieces, proving that imperfections can be beautiful. Using elements such as old chain, antique trims and French and English fobs, her designs result in spectacular, eye-catching pieces. “My collections have been derived from my love of history and each piece possesses a story all its own."
LIZZY COUTURE Vintage Jewelry is designed with imperfections in mind. Patina and wear to vintage components is intentional and will continue with wear. This includes missing rhinestones, flaked or verdigris glass pearls, age stained trim and tattered lace, chipped crystals, non-working watches, and tarnished medals & chain. It’s meant to be!
Reference to “Haskell” is Miriam Haskell (July 1, 1899-July 14, 1981) an American designer of costume jewelry who created jewelry pieces from 1920 through the 1950s. As a huge inspiration of LIZZY COUTURE Vintage Jewelry, many old Haskell components and glass pearl chain are used throughout the collection. Pearl chain is meant to be verdigris and “dirty”. Components are meant to be tarnished and discolored adding to the uniqueness of the design.

Every piece of LIZZY COUTURE Vintage Jewelry is made by hand and requires delicate handling and care. Note: Do not place LIZZY COUTURE jewelry in jewelry cleaning solutions. It will damage glass pearls and cloud rhinestones!
